About the author

Dr Manisha Mirdha is an academician with over two decades at National Law University, Jodhpur. Holding dual doctorates in Political Science and Psychology, she brings an interdisciplinary lens to the study of political behaviour, governance, and socio-legal change. She teaches Political Theory and Governance, International Relations, and Public Policy; her earlier teaching has included Criminology, Forensic Psychology, and Crime & Society, reflecting a sustained engagement with the intersections of law, politics, and society. A regular contributor to national and international forums, she has also played a significant role in curriculum design for both conventional and distance-learning programmes.

Beyond teaching and research, she serves as Dean of Students’ Welfare at NLUJ, where she provides mentorship that combines academic rigour with student-centred initiatives. Her scholarship is marked by methodological breadth and a commitment to critical inquiry and socially responsive learning, equipping students and readers to engage thoughtfully with the principles and practice of politics and governance.
